7s Art will hold a Yaji (elegant gathering with tea ceremony, Guqin and other traditional Chinese music) in Lair East, SOHO NY on June 25, 2016.

YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT

‘Woodcutter and fisherman’ as representative motif of ancient Guqin melodies and ink paintings.

YOU WILL EXPERIENCE

Travelling back in time in a restored ancient way and get inspired by the ‘hermit spirit’ with Chinese ink paintings, Guqin music and Chinese tea.

WE WILL PROVIDE

A lecture on ‘hermit spirit’ of ancient Chinese scholars, which are reflected in the landscape ink paintings.
Guqin music (solo and singing)
Cold Brew Tea, specially designed Chinese ice tea, while having an enjoyable networking time.

Have a better understanding about ‘hermit spirit’ of ancient Chinese scholars, which are reflected in traditional Chineseink paintings.

Ms. Feier Ying will share the stories of some selected paintings, with a focus on the development of 'hermit spirit' of ancient Chinese scholars. Ms.Feier Ying is the producer of 6/25 Yaji. She graduated from Boston University, with a concentration of study in Chinese Art History.

Tea Ceremony

On a hot summer day, with our refreshment - Cold Brew Tea, a specially designed Chinese ice tea, you will definitely enjoy a pleasant networking time.

Three different types of tea will be served:

  • Taiwan Oolong Tea (light with flower fragrance)
  • Black Tea from Wuyi Mountain in Fujian
  • Oolong Tea from Guangdong (strong with sweet after taste)
